Harnesses And Scissor Lifts

Is it always necessary to work on a Scissor lift with a harness? More precisely, does this provision of harness come with all types of lifts? The appropriate answer to this would be no. Harness is not provided with all types of lifts and it is only for those where the platform is required to be elevated to a higher level. Yes while using a lift for repairing a high raised building it is always advisable to go with a harness because the chances for a fall in such situations are higher. The technical support team of the lift manufacturer might not provide the worker with one but he is advised and expected to go with one since it might flip him at any time when the air flow is a little high outside. And since the worker is mounted or elevated to a much higher level, the severity of the possible injuries would be more.
